We sure do love brew pubs in Asheville! This is a town that is dedicated to good beer. We have several micro-breweries whose wares are available throughout town. Green Man beers are served at Jack of the Wood, and the Asheville Pizza and Brewing Company brews their beer on premises. Both the French Broad Brewing Company and the Highland Brewing Company create many tasty beers that are available throughout town. AP&BC is such a fun place! Think movie theatre meets brew pub. They have a full menu (plus a great lunch buffet), there are usually between five and eight of their own handcrafted beers available, there is a $2.00 movie theatre in which you can drink and eat, a huge game room, and a second location downtown (sans theatre.)

Barley's Taproom is a beer drinker's paradise. They boast over 40 taps of regional brews and quality favorites, no mass produced domestics here. They have two levels each with its own distinct feel. The downstairs dining room has a full menu and live entertainment, the upstairs, open to those 21 and up, has pool tables and dart boards.

Jack of the Wood, located right downtown, is home to the Green Man beers. Artfully crafted, usually in an English style, there are usually four different types available on draft. The cozy, Celtic style pub is popular with locals and visitors alike. Jack of the Wood features live music most nights of the week. They serve traditional pub fare like bangers and mash and fish and chips along with burgers and sandwiches.

This pub, located in West Asheville is definitely a local’s favorite. They have a full menu and live entertainment most nights. There are a couple of pool tables inside, and a comfortable patio where most people and some dogs hang out when the weather is right.
